This is Thor, was rescued from a government dog kennel

I wen’t to the Dog Kennel of my region looking for an other dog which my mom was giving food to, she founded this dog wandering in the streets of her neighborhood and was waiting for my arrival (I was living already in Switzerland) to see what could we do together for him.

One day before I arrived the stray dog was not to be seen again so we started searching for him and we ended up in this kennel where we unfortunately did not found the stray dog we were looking for, but luckily found Thor.

So that you can imagine they have 4 different areas:

– Area 1: New dogs coming in stay separated for a couple of days
– Area 2: Breed dogs get the change to be adopted and are place in a more or less “ nice area “
– Area 3: Stray dogs which can not be adopted but remain alive for 3 days in case some comes to specifically search for them
Area 4: Pittbul or „dangerous“ breeds which can not be adopted but remain alive for a few days in case someone come to search for them

So we found Thor in the privileged „nice area“ with other small breed dogs. All dogs got excited with our arrival and were begging for attention but not Thor, he would not move, the other excited dogs would jump on him to get closer to the gate where we were standing and he would just not react. My attention went straight to him, I asked wether he was sick and the answer was „nah, he is just a lazy dog“ then a dog started biting him so he tried to stand up but was unable to do, it was obvious he had an injure. Which the guy did not care but could not stand my „fighting“ for him to take Thor out to check him out, finally he did, on an un friendly way and separated him from other dogs at least. I was not aloud to take Thor to a Veterinarian, thanks to the very important paper work, we had to live with the idea that next day first thing in the morning we would come with all paper work to take him straight to the vet.

We came next day and there was someone taking him out, he had a government position and he was a big fan of that breed. So we partnered to help Thor and took him to an awesome vet which gave us a special price for the big operation that Thor needed as he had two broken legs, they have been broken for already a while so there was an important procedure to be done. We gathered to search for donations to pay for the vet costs to get Thor healthy and without pain.
